Videos

This 3 part series pairs sound and visuals and has been thoughtfully designed to create a singular sonic landscape, one bookended with voice guidance to help maximize the deep listening experience. Each video is an aural experience set to colors and slow-moving landscapes, not simply a recording of a sound bath facilitation. The curation of instruments and sequences are unique for each of the 3 themes: Breathwork, Heart and Journey.

AT HOME

How to set up for sound

  • Headphones are helpful to experience the binaural microphones and elements

  • Bluetooth Speakers or Sonos Speakers (through Apple TV) can provide you with the most realistic sound in an open space, similar to being in-person

How to navigate the technology

  • It’s important to temporarily turn off sound notifications for whichever computer, smartphone or tablet you are using. These notifications can be disruptive taking you out of your experience.

How to set up for the experience

  • Prepare to lay down in a comfortable place: bed, couch, recliner, or a floor with a yoga mat and have cushions if you need additional support

  • A blanket is helpful as we get more relaxed our body temperature lowers

  • An eye mask is encouraged, but optional

Heart

The heart radiates energy and harnessing that, moving with grace and courage, allows you to become your own witness and to identify and release emotions.

This experience creates a sonic environment that supports the exploration, and potential release of, a wide range of emotions. The instruments included are: crystal bowls, shruti box, overtone singing, synthesizer, sitar and ocean sounds.

The energy of the heart center is an electromagnetic field—it’s vibrational. It radiates energy, keeps the body alive, transmits energy outward in connection to others, and also holds imprints of emotions.

Breathwork

Xi breathing is a powerful breathing technique utilized in Yi Jin Jing where you activate the Qi in the energy centers of the physical body.

This experience moves through three breathing sequences then into the sound portion. The instruments included are: Himalayan bowls, tuning forks, gong, and chime, all of them metal-based.

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), metal governs the lung and the large intestine, nose and skin. The negative emotion associated with metal is grief, while the positive emotion is courage.

Journey

In shamanism the act of journeying brings you into a trance state, allowing you to connect with other dimensions: places, animals, spirits, and more.

This experience incorporates rhythmic pulsing to induce trance, followed by multiple sequences of sound. The instruments included are: frame drum, nature sounds, among them, birds, forests and walking.

This transporting journey will lead you to reconnect and begin to interface with nature. You can be lead where you’re willing and interested in going.
